Monthly Experience Nia
Saturday 18th February

This is a 1.5 hour workshop which will focus each month on one aspect of the Nia technique

DANCE/MOVEMENT INTO RELAXATION (Movement Meditation)
Can you truly relax body, mind and spirit?
This workshop will get you out of your head and into your body and you will feel more connected and balanced
The body is a vehicle to become aware of stresses that can manifest as tensions or dis-ease
Come on this journey from a physical base through movement, senses and laughter to awareness, true relaxation and stillness.
Long held tensions are released and you will feel relaxed and at peace with yourself and others.
Take off layers of inhibition, fear and judgement and dance your way to true relaxation, peace and happiness.
Become aware of how you feel, forget how you look.
Explore the links between physical health, mental and emotional health and spiritual health through movement, senses and gentle laughter.
Learn to laugh at yourself and others with kindness, compassion, love and acceptance, never judgment.
Get in touch with your body, empty your mind and free your spirit through your own movement to music.

HOLISTIC HEALTH
These workshops give participants an understanding of holistic health:- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, and how they are linked.
Diet, Exercise, Stress and Relaxation have an effect on each.
They introduce the concept of energy and vibrational healing through the senses
They give participants some techniques they can learn to use in everyday life after the sessions.
They give an understanding of the effects of stress and the need for real relaxation and connectedness,

PILATES BASED EXCERICISE AND RELAXATION
Pilates is a system of exercise devised by Joe Pilates in the 1940s based on his concept of a balanced body and mind.
The exercises address posture, body mechanics, correct breathing spinal flexibility and core control. They are based on his principles of breathing, concentration, control, centring precision and flow.
Muscles work in synergistic pairs so that when one contracts to cause movement its opposite is relaxing also to allow the movement which is then balanced, precise and controlled causing the least fatigue and
joint wear.
These workshops explain how through the slow controlled practice of the exercises at each person's own level and with concentration, new nerve messages to the muscles create more correct alignment and movement.
The imbalances become less and the person feels more elongated, energised and aches and pains reduce.
STRESS AWARENESS AND RELAXATION
Sanas invites you to come on a physical journey through movement,
senses and laughter to awareness, true relaxation and stillness.
HOW TO MASSAGE FRIENDS AND FAMILY
We all know how touch can bring comfort and healing but perhaps have
forgotten that we do and thus have lost the confidence in our ability.
Come on this two day workshop either with your friends and family or
meet people to learn with there.
Small informal groups.
You will learn simply easy techniques that can be done on a chair or an adapted table either through the clothes or with massage balms to give soothing relief to your close ones.
